I’m trying to practice writing Chinese characters more consistently, especially characters from HSK 1-3.
When I copy stroke order diagrams, I can usually follow the order, but I’m not always sure whether my own handwriting is actually correct.
For example:
- Did I use the right stroke order?
- Are the strokes in the right direction?
- Is the character structure balanced?
- Would a native speaker consider it readable or awkward?
For those of you who practice handwriting:
How do you check your writing?
Do you use an app, a teacher, Reddit feedback, or just compare with examples?
Do you care more about stroke order, readability, or overall shape?
What kind of feedback is actually helpful when learning to write Hanzi?
I’m curious how other learners handle this.
