I want to try Arma Reforger with almost zero experience and have some quesions

Hi all, as I already stated in the title, I want to buy Arma Reforger and try out mil-sims with almost zero prior experience, by "almost zero" I mean that before I already tried Arma 3 and Squad, but refunded them both. Arma 3 due to its non-existent optimization(I have ryzen 5 5600x, rx 6700xt and 32gb 3200mhz ram and was only getting like 50 fps in the tutorial missions) and Squad basically due to my own laziness and lack of motivation and time to learn the game(Although the 1.5 hours I did spend in the game, I mostly enjoyed). This time I want to try to take the whole mil-sim thing a lot more serious and actually invest some time into it as I've been interested in such games for a while.

The first question I want to ask is how actually difficult it is to get into a match? In Squad all I had to do was open the server browser, pick one, join and play. In Arma 3 it was a lot more complicated. A lot of people suggested finding a unit or communities that host matches every now and then, but I found it way too complicated, I've also tried simply joining a random server, but most of the times I ended up on some garbage, heavily modded server that was just too overwhelming for someone, who had just bought the game. So I want to know if Arma Reforger is closer to Squad and can be "join and play" or do I have to go through some shenanigans to have a more pleasant experience?

Another thing is, of course, optimization. I already shared my PC specs above, so my question is: is it going to be enough to play the game at 144 or AT LEAST stable 60 FPS? I don't really trust the recommended specs on Steam, because according to them my PC was more than enough to play Arma 3, but in reality it was not. I play only 1080p and I'm not after some crazy ultra graphics, I'm more than satisfied with low-medium most of the times, as long as it is sharp and I can clearly make out details of objects in the distance.

Also I'd like to know, how does the community treat new players? In Squad for example I had a pretty good experience, people helped me, told me what to do. In Arma 3 I didn't even get to that part, so unfortunately I don't have enough data to base my opinion on.

Right now I'm deciding between either getting Arma Reforger or giving Squad one more shot. Another thing I'm concerned about is the time commitment. In Squad, most of the matches are completed in like 60 minutes, while in Arma Reforger they can last up to 5-6 hours (So I've read, feel free to correct me). If it's actually true, are there a bit more fast paced servers that finish the matches quicker? As much as I'd like to seriously invest time into this, I'm not willing to sit 6 hours in front of my PC playing one game.

I think that's all. If there's any more info you think would be useful, feel free to share, I'd really appreciate it.
