Mini PC for Bazzite living room setup – Xbox 360 / Xbox One era gaming at 1080p60?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently looking into building a small “console-like” living room gaming setup using Bazzite.
My goal is NOT modern ultra AAA gaming at max settings.

I mainly want to play:
- Xbox 360 / PS3 era games
- Xbox One / PS4 era games
- emulation (RPCS3, Xenia, Dolphin, PCSX2, etc.)
- Steam backlog

Target would be:
- 1080p
- medium settings
- stable 60 fps whenever possible
- prioritize framerate over graphics quality/resolution
- quiet and compact setup
- console-like experience on TV

I already own a Steam Deck, but I’d like something more comfortable for docked TV gaming with more CPU/GPU headroom, especially for RPCS3 and newer PS4/Xbox One titles.

I’m currently looking at mini PCs with:
- Ryzen 7 8745HS / 8845HS
- Radeon 780M
- 32 GB DDR5 dual-channel

From what I’ve seen, Bazzite seems to work really well on AMD mini PCs and people seem happy with 780M-based systems for 1080p gaming.

A few questions:
- Is a Radeon 780M enough for this use case today?
- Would you recommend jumping directly to 890M / HX370 systems?
- Are there specific mini PC brands/models to avoid?
- Any known Linux/Bazzite issues with some manufacturers?
- Is there a “sweet spot” currently for price/performance?
- Would you rather go mini PC or small ITX build?

I’m trying to avoid:
- huge gaming towers
- loud systems
- Nvidia/Linux headaches
- paying for performance I won’t use

Basically I want something that feels like a modern Steam Machine / console replacement.

Thanks!
