We recently put a sandstone retaining wall in with diamond cut steps. But now we have this random space between the driveway and the steps. Its just under a metre at the bottom and narrows right up at the top, maybe about 4m long.

Have tossed up the idea of putting some australian natives in there with some sandstone rocks but not sure. We want something low maintenance whatever goes in there. Just thought id throw it out there for any suggestions to make it a bit of a feature?

Is anyone able to enlighten me on what this jelly like stuff is that appeared on our newly laid lawn the next day after it was put down?

Chat gpt said its Nostoc (a type of cyanobacteria) but neighbours have told me they think its from the underturf fertiliser that was put down before the lawn was laid. Only thing I cant work out with that theory is the fertiliser was put down first under the grass so how is it sitting on top if thats what it is?

Would appreciate any feedback as to what this stuff actually is. It looks like small broken pieces of glass but is like a jelly to touch. Also do i need to do anything with it or will it disappear over time?
