Accidentally got a BTECH instead of BE, what now?

Is my plan ideal?

I am a mechanical engineering technology student (23M) who will be graduating with a BTECH in December 2026 (that's ABET accredited). I have plans of getting my FE licensure in Louisiana as I would be moving in with my girlfriend. According to LA, a BTECH degree wouldn't be sufficient for a PE license so I'll be getting a MS in mechanical engineering. I worry that my degree would struggle and the info from BTECH to ME pipeline is very limited. I intend to be working full time at the same time as I work towards my masters as a full time student if it's feasible. Eventually I would want to move to San Francisco, (preferably sooner than later), after graduation (27-28) to gain the work experience that's needed for the PE license. This was the best way I could think of to resolve the issue of getting the wrong degree. (I'm aware getting a BS in ME would've made my life easier but I need to work with what I have). If anyone has any advice they'd like to share it would be greatly appreciated!!

Edit: Sorry to clear up the confusion I would ideally want the PE in California since I plan to move there. However, I also looked up the requirements in Louisiana just in case since I plan to stay there for a while.
