Host inadvertently left ozone machine on for 72 hours, damaged my property as a result while I was not at home [USA]
Hey y'all!
Looking for advice on what to do on my situation in my long-term rental. My host came to remediate a foul smell in the apartment with an ozone generator and said that it would be in use for only 120 minutes. I was not home this weekend for a work trip, and the entire time I was vacant the ozone generator was turned on. I just now realized that my rubber property (scooter tires, etc) is damaged as a result. What should I do about my situation? How to go about getting reimbursement from the host, and also what to do if in the future the host claims I damaged parts of her property that would originate from the generator?
