I built a bench too! + more
Since I saw a theme of people showcasing their benches here is the one I put together a month ago. This was a simple design. I got off of Google and it cost about $100 across all the materials.
I also used the app Sun Surveyor to understand the path of the sun, as I have a giant Japanese blueberry tree for my neighbors yard overhanging the bench. It was able to calculate how much direct sun the area was getting how much of my Neighbor’s tree I needed to cut back 🤫
I also installed an orbit b-hyve smart water control, and connected a few sprinklers. Although I primarily take care of watering the trees, it’s helpful when work or travel keeps me from being as attentive as I like to be.
Honorable mention for my Bald Cypress that sits on my patio.
