Thoughts from an Indian GenZ!

Hello fellow GenZs!

I was following the recent homosexual controversy which happened here! It got recommended to me by Reddit and sent me down to a whole rabbit hole. You guys are doing a great job confronting these old views and shaping ones entire persona and culture around religion. This problem is not unique to Pakistan, and it has been on the rise in India after 2014. It doesn't seem very elevated in India as there are multiple religious and ethnic groups, several left and centrist parties with only BJP acting as the right wing who also behave in a much homophobic way. Our generation must learn that religion is a personal choice and is very different from culture. Our religious ethos were built over a thousand years ago and we can't allow ourselves to be run over the same rules. Wherever, the religious zealots are there, no progress can be achieved economically and also culturally because every reform will be seen as regressive to religion. You are the next power holders of Pakistan. The ball is in your park to shape your country's future and how the world sees it. There are religious zealots even in the west but they aren't allowed to dictate their policies and the liberals are always making a clown of them in the media. Anybody who has seen "the Boys" web show, will agree that that kind of show taking Islam or Hinduism head one cant be thought of even releasing in India or Pakistan. For fuck sake, the episodes released in India had beeped every word where Jesus or Bible was spoken. Our generation is way better than this. Kudos to you! Keep fighting!
