Hi everyone,
I am applying for a German Student Visa from Lebanon through the new Consular Services Portal (CSP) for the Beirut Embassy.
I have a direct, unconditional admission letter and can start my degree straight away. On the portal questionnaire, I explicitly selected:
- "Are you allowed to start studying straight away?" -> YES
- "What kind of degree programme is it?" -> "I have been admitted to a full-time degree programme and can start straight away."
However, on my final dashboard, the system completely overrides my choice. It displays the category as "Study – Specific qualifications" instead of "Study - Regular".
Because of this, my status says "Currently not available" and the "Proceed" button is grayed out. Meanwhile, my friend who applied for "Study - Regular" is safely on the waiting list.
Has anyone else faced this glitch where the portal misclassifies an unconditional admission? How did you get the system to correctly show "Study - Regular" so you could submit?
How to fix the problem, or the problem not because of me.
