Need advice: managing internet and electricity while subletting during a move
Hello everyone,
I’m currently looking for a new flat in Berlin, but most apartments are available within less than a month. The problem is that my current apartment has a 2–3 month notice period, so I may need to overlap apartments for a while and sublease my current one.
What I’m struggling to understand is how people usually handle electricity and internet in this situation.
If I sublease my current flat, I would probably need to keep electricity and internet running there for the subtenant. But at the same time, I would also need electricity and internet in the new apartment.
How do people usually manage this in Germany?
Do people get short-term/mobile internet and electricity solutions during the overlap period? If so, do you know any providers or options that could work temporarily?
