To wild card or not to wild card.

Here’s my dilemma. I have a truly perfect story and I’ve been watching and waiting for a fitting prompt to come up forever. I started thinking it wasn’t going to happen and started toying with the idea of submitting for wild card (why does this feel like a cop out?). I guess at some point I missed a month or 2 of checking the website and was so sad to suddenly see the perfect episode pop up last year. I told myself this prompt is definitely going to come back up so I’ll just wait it out. But it hasn’t come up and I know this story will kill. Do I wild card?????

I am teaching my son about how to respond to fires and also stocking the kitchen with the First Alert Fire Extinguishing Spray. We also have a fire blanket available in the kitchen. I’m making an easy to reference visual to show which response to prioritize for each type of fire. As much as possible I want to provide him 1 response to eliminate making a decision in the moment. He will do best with methods that involve 1 step, whenever possible.

Does a fire extinguisher trump all the other methods? Can anyone clarify which is the most preferred response to put out the fire for each of the below?

Inside microwave or oven (after turning off) - keep door shut? fire extinguisher?

Stove top - cover with a baking sheet or lid? fire extinguisher (can this be the go-to response whether it’s grease or not)? Fire blanket?

Appliance fire - fire extinguisher?

Flammable object (ie oven mitt, paper towels) - fire extinguisher?
