Alcohol

(21F )Does anyone else have the worst flare ups the day after drinking alcohol, I was nearly at a&e today cause my flare up was so painful and I was having palpitations and anxiety, still in so much pain but it’s subsided a bit now. It’s annoying cause I want to still have that social part of my life but it feels like it’s inevitable I will have a flare up the day after. Super scary

Voltarol

I’ve been using voltarol for a few days for some pain relief because I don’t like taking too much ibuprofen or paracetamol oraly, how long can I take this for safely to help my costochondritis, it seems to be giving me a lot of relief aswell as using a duoball/ peanut, I have been rubbing it on my chest and back daily about 2-3 times a day

Pilates?

F (22) I have been diagnosed with costochondritis for nearly 3 years, although dealing with it continuously since September last year. Having a really bad flare up at the moment so I’m finally deciding to try do something about this and fix it, mostly using the wisdom words from Steve and ned. I am curious to those (specifically those with hypermobility) have you tried Pilates? Did it make it worse? Can it help costochondritis? I’d rather not go back to stage one and wreck myself even more but I want to stay somewhat active and i was thinking of trying some at home Pilates “workouts” I’d be starting at mostly some Pilates stretches. If anyone has any info/guidance I’d love to hear.
