FYE Freshman Schedule Advice

Apologies for the repetitive post, I just have some burning questions that could hopefully be answered by the uber knowledgeable Purdue family.

Quick Background: Due to dual & AP credit, I will receive credit for all of my non-major related gen eds, which ofc allows me to be much more flexible for my freshman schedule. Very interested in B2D7 for nuclear engineering so trying to balance class rigor, research time, and high school to college transition.

Semester 1: -------------------------Semester 2:

CS 15900 ----------------------------ME 20000

MA 26100-------------------------- MA 26500

ENGR 13300 ------------------------NUCL 27300

ENGR 10301 RSCH------------------ENGR 10301 LRN

VIP 17911--------------------------- VIP 17912

ME 27000---------------------------ME 27400

My main questions are if there are any blaring errors with this schedule that could lead to suboptimal results freshman year, and how rigorous this is (e.g. could potentially add another class without sacrificing research time and work life balance, or should DEF remove a class).

I know these are probably annoying and repetitive questions, but I would really appreciate any incite and advice. Thank y'all in advance!

P.S. Contingency plan for if I don't get PHY 27200 credit:

1st semester changes: PHYS 27200 instead of CS15900
2nd semester changes: CS 15900 instead of ME 20000

Freshman FYE Schedule Advice

Schedule would be 17 credit hours for 1st semester

Some Background info/reasoning:

Due to dual & AP credit, I will receive credit for all of my non-major related gen eds, which ofc allows me to be much more flexible for my freshman schedule.

"Why not drop the physics and have an easier first year transition?" one may ask, but this is because I'm interested in the combined bachelors & PhD program, B2D7, (for NE) which ofc takes into account academic rigor when applying.

My main questions are if this schedule is truly too much and I am shooting myself in the foot for future opportunities, if I could potentially add a little more without it being too ridiculous, or if there is a middle ground of difficulty that would be more beneficial as an incoming freshman.

I would greatly appreciate any advice from those more in the know, thank y'all in advance!

Relevant APs taken: calc ab, calc bc, phy 1, phy 2, phy c: mechanics, phy c: E&M, chem. Scores I got/ I think I got for relative gauge on current knowledge: 5.
