Vagus Nerve Episode Due To Back Pain?
Hi - 38 YO 6’1” male. I take blood pressure meds for high blood pressure.
I threw out my back a few days ago and had a weird episode I went to the ED for. I essentially got out of bed, was in insane pain (I had just iced it then not moved for about 45 mins) and I’m sure I was grunting.
I get downstairs and feel my heart literally coming to a stop. I felt my pulse and wow it was slow. I literally thought “this is it, my heart is just tired”.
Accompanying this crazy bradycardia my ears got wildly congested followed by tinnitus. Then broke out in a clammy sweat.
EKG all good
Labs all good (including sugar)
Could this just be pain related? If I take it easy and medicate the pain will it happen again?
I am going to see my PCP next week and ask for a halter monitor.
