Uber from Croix to Lille at 5:30 AM?

Hi! I need to get from Croix to Lille at around 5:30 AM. Has anyone had experience getting an Uber at that time in the morning?
Is it usually easy to find a driver, or should I arrange a taxi in advance? I’m trying to avoid booking an Uber in advance because it’s quite expensive 😭
Thanks!

Best jambon-beurre in Lille? 🥖🇫🇷

Hi! I’m looking for a really good jambon-beurre in Lille. 🥖🧈
I’m a student here and I’d love to try a really good, traditional one — preferably with good baguette and butter, not just a basic supermarket-style sandwich 😂
Any recommendations? Bonus points if it’s around Lille-Centre / Vieux Lille!
Thanks!!

Does the Primark in Lille sell suitcases?

Hi! I’ll be moving to Lille soon and I’m planning to buy a suitcase after I arrive.
I was wondering if the Primark in Euralille is a large store. Does it usually sell suitcases (both cabin-size and larger ones), or is the selection limited?

Bonjour !
Merci d’avance !

University of Bologna Exchange (Spring 2027) – Is it worth it? I have a few questions

Hi! I was accepted for an exchange at the University of Bologna for the Spring 2027 semester, but I’m still unsure whether I should go.
I’m already going to France this fall as an exchange student, so staying in Europe for a full year would be quite expensive. My biggest concern is whether I’ll be able to sort out my Italian visa/residence permit while I’m still in France.
What I’d really like to know is what it’s actually like to study and live in Bologna. I already know it’s famous for being a great student city, but I’d love to hear from people with firsthand experience.
I’m a business major, and I have a few questions:
Are business courses very demanding?
Is it difficult to pass or get decent grades? (I don’t care about getting top grades—I just need to avoid failing.)
I’ve heard there’s no guaranteed university accommodation. Is it really that difficult to find a room?
How safe is Bologna, especially for an East Asian female student? I’m a bit worried about pickpocketing, racism, and walking around alone.
Do students usually speak English with exchange students?
Are there plenty of business courses taught in English?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences. If the overall situation doesn’t seem to fit my circumstances, I might have to decline the offer.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

Ciao!
Studio Economia/Business, quindi avrei alcune domande:
Qualsiasi consiglio o esperienza personale sarebbe davvero molto utile.

CDG to Lille in the evening: safe or better to stay overnight?

Hi everyone!
I’m an exchange student who’ll be studying at EDHEC this August, and I’d love to get your advice.
My flight lands at Paris CDG around 6 p.m. I’m trying to decide whether I should take the train to Lille right away and then get a taxi to my accommodation, or stay at a hotel near the airport for one night and travel to Lille the next day.
I’m a bit worried that arriving in Lille after dark might not be the safest, especially since it’ll be my first time there and I’ll have luggage with me. On the other hand, hotels near the airport are pretty expensive, so I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
What would you do in my situation? I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!
