What do you do if your guests experience a long power outage during their stay? Do you offer a refund? Discount? Nothing?

We haven’t listed our place yet, doing some minor renovations beforehand but the power was out all day today 9am-5pm and it got me wondering how do people manage that for renters?

I’m setting up a new str: a lake front cabin targeted towards families and couples.

I’ve stocked my kitchen with a few basics but wondering what other essentials or items guests either expect or would appreciate having available for them.

I already have: some cooking oil, basic spices, salt, sugar, teas, coffee. Also stocked aluminum wrap, plastic wrap and parchment paper.

There’s a toaster, two coffee machines, a fondu set and a kettle.

What else would you as a host (or guest) stock or appreciate having stocked?

Edit: yes I also have paper towels, dish soap, sponges and dishwasher pods. Do I also provide napkins?

Edit edit: also have plastic dinnerware for outdoor dining
