How can I improve my learning approach?
Briefly about myself: I’m 29, temporarily unemployed, living on savings at the moment, and it allows me to try to switch careers.
So, what’s the matter? I’ve been studying English since last September, when I quit my previous job, spending about 30 hours a week on it, including negotiation practice and learning logistics. Looking back, I understand that I can use the language in everyday life much better (especially considering that I couldn’t study for more than 10 hours a week when I began, let alone using English at all). But at the same time, I can’t push myself beyond 30 hours a week, and by the end of the study week, I feel nothing but fatigue and a desire to do nothing for a few days.
I know rest is important, but the realisation that my savings will run out soon makes me think about studying even harder than before.
What would you do if you were in my place? How can a person study both harder and more effectively?
