Anxiety after an Infostealer

Hi all! I got hit by an infostealer just over a week ago. (Ref my previous post in another community: https://www.reddit.com/r/computerviruses/s/2qZkyo5Y2p) a bunch of lovely folks helped me out in the that thread and DM’s too. But now I am dealing pretty hard with the psychological aspect of it. I have pretty bad anxiety, and having to fully reset my windows from a USB, delete my data with the partition reset, changing all my passwords with a password manager on a new device, and even making a new email for my Microsoft, EA and Ubisoft accounts so I stopped getting authentication emails has taken sort of a toll on my nerves.

I’ve gone about 5 days with zero alerts or breaches, but I run scans (bitdefender and malwarebytes) 2x a day. I’ve even made a new google account as a test to see if it gets compromised on my PC again, and have only signed into a single account otherwise.

My question is, am I truly all set to go ahead and reinstall apps, sign back into Google, etc.? I feel like I’ve followed every thread that I’ve panic searched, done all of the tips I’ve seen, watched countless videos, etc. But I’m still pretty afraid of this happening again. Any help or advice is appreciated!

Got hit by a infostealer last week. Still sort of scared to re-add accounts and data.

PC got hit by malware, making sure I do a fresh windows install right.

So I got nailed by some malware from a seemingly harmless and unrelated item my buddy sent me on discord for a game we play together. To say the least I’ve already gone through with malwarebytes, kaspersky and the like and cordoned and deleted the files and suspected issues. Following that I took my PC off the Ethernet/internet fully, and it’s been deauthorized from all my apps and all my password and 2FA have been swapped using NordPass again.

After that saga, I know it is best to install a fresh windows version from a usb via the bootable menu. Can someone outline a step by step for this? I have a Z790 D5 motherboard, and am fairly sure my bootable into my BIOS menu is my F8 key on boot. Thanks!
