Question - paying rent to two people
Hello, everyone. I've been unemployed for a while now and just received a job offer near where my partner lives. My partner lives with their family about an hour away from my house, so I will be spending most of the month over there for the foreseeable future. Their parents requested that I pay them a small amount of money (probably around $200 a month) in return for letting me essentially live with them while I'm working.
However, I also have an obligation to start paying a much larger amount of money for the room I'm renting in my own house. Ever since I lost my job, my roommate and their family has covered whatever my share of the rent has been out of kindness for me. Once my income situation becomes stable and I know I can keep my job, I intend to start pulling my own weight again.
Will this situation cause any trouble for me when I eventually file for Chapter 7 by the end of the year? I know it's not usual, but I hope that just explaining it like this would make it make sense.
