Collecting stories from Chongqing

Hello everyone :)

We’re Dani and Alba, an independent photographer and a writer from Spain, and we’ll be in Chongqing this August working on a documentary and photojournalism project about the city and the people who call it home.

Rather than making a travel guide, we want to spend time with locals, hear their stories, and better understand what life in Chongqing is really like today. We’re interested in all kinds of perspectives: students, workers, entrepreneurs, artists, families, retirees, newcomers, lifelong residents, and anyone with an interesting experience to share.

We’d love to connect with people who might be willing to:

* Chat with us or be interviewed about their life, work, interests, or experiences in Chongqing.

* Show us parts of the city that are meaningful to them.

* Introduce us to communities, events, workplaces, neighborhoods, or social spaces where people gather.

* Suggest interesting stories, topics, or people we should meet.

Some of the themes we’re exploring include urban life, social change, relationships, work, education, culture, identity, and how Chongqing is evolving, but we’re very open to unexpected stories and perspectives.

If you’d be interested in meeting us, being interviewed, showing us around, or pointing us in the right direction, please leave a comment or send me a message!!

Thank you so much!
