I posted previously my first Tyranid which was a Bombardier Beetle themed Biovore. This time I did an Orchid Mantis themed Winged Tyranid Prime. Sad the pearlescent effect I applied on the wings doesn't show up well in the pictures...which I guess is ok too haha. Fun fact, I found a how-to for reusing tea leaves for ground flocking and tried out my grass mix with this model. Always welcome to feedback and critiques.

I have been painting Death Guard for the last year or so and asked a buddy for ideas on something different to paint to break up my monotony. He suggested a Biovore in a jungle theme. So I took inspiration from the Bombardier Beetles and took a swing at matching as best as I could. Might have enjoyed it so much that I've put my Plague Marines on hold and am working on a Winged Tyranid Prime as an Orchid Mantis. I would love any feedback, critiques, or suggestions for future Jungle/exotic themes and units!
