What makes up your total comp?
I’m at a big tech company and my total comp is base + commission + RSUs. Total comp with commission and RSUs is more than double my base, so it’s a big factor. Benefits include pension match 5%, optional private medical, optional season ticket loan, optional death in service / critical illness etc (which you opt in and pay for).
I’m wondering how comp is structured in smaller companies. What else, other than salary and bonuses, can you negotiate as part of your compensation structure? Things like company car, gym membership, commuting allowance, sign on bonus, etc?
