Elastica Dub & Gabriel Blue - Revolution Time

Revolution Time is the new single by Elastica Dub feat. Gabriel Blue, a powerful and contemporary roots-dub track built around a deep, pulsating bassline by Mattia Palagi. The song comes from the meeting point between the spiritual attitude of reggae, the hypnotic strength of dub, and an electronic production with a strong sound system feel, produced by Alberto Tucci.

Gabriel Blue’s voice carries a message of awakening, unity and transformation, inviting the listener to rediscover inner strength and a collective vision in a time marked by confusion, division and deep change. Revolution Time is not only a call for rebellion, but an invitation to shift perspective, reconnect with rhythm, community and a more authentic vibration.

Between low frequencies, delays, reggae grooves and dub tension, Elastica Dub creates a warm, direct and immersive sound, able to speak both to the dancehall and to a deeper listening experience. The release also includes a hypnotic dub version, where the bassline expands, the effects take over and the voice becomes echo, breath and sonic suggestion, guiding the listener into a deeper and more meditative dimension.

A track rooted in the roots tradition, yet shaped with a modern and international language. Revolution Time is the time for change, connection and positive resistance.

Digidub feat Julian Fairshare - A Tribute to Julian Fairshare

The second in a series of releases from Digi Dub’s archives, this 10” serves, as the title suggests, as a tribute to the late, great Julian Fairshare.

On the A-side, Julian vocalises, in his unique style, his crazy finger flicking lyrics over a slinky Digidub riddim that was always a favourite on his sound system. Repent, the (only) slightly more traditional flipside, finds him commenting on the politricks and lies of those in charge, asking them to change their ways, with backing vocals by Helen Macdonald.

A true rasta with firm principles and a heart of gold, Julian was brought up by his Windrush generation parents in a Brixton house that hosted blues parties, and as a result became deeply involved in sound system culture from an early age. For years he ran the Fairshare Unity Sound, working with people from all cultures and walks of life, always maintaining an inclusive attitude while also favouring the more experimental side of dub. In later years he used the name ‘Unruly Julian’, which suited him somehow.

He toured widely around Europe and was one of the first to take a roots and culture sound system to the USSR. Nearer to home he played regularly on the London underground scene, which is where Lee Digidub and Julian first met, leading to a steady supply of dubplates for his sound. On a memorable visit to the studio, Julian announced that he wanted to voice a dub that Lee was working on, which led to them releasing I Scream and No Way on David Records.

“Sadly missed, it’s such a shame that the great man isn’t here to enjoy this release in person, but it’s wonderful that people get a chance to listen to Julian Fairshare: a unique vocalist, soundman and mentor to so many” Lee Digidub Berwick

This inspiring single marks the beginning of a fresh creative partnership between the artists, with more productions already in the works and an upcoming album on the horizon.

Mission Ignition is dedicated to all the people around the world who continue to make a positive difference through their actions, compassion, and courage. In times where hope can feel distant, the song shines a light on those who still care deeply for their communities, neighbours, society, and the planet itself. It is a message of respect and gratitude to the brothers and sisters who keep working for change, often quietly but with great strength and determination.

Inspired by the mission of spreading Jah word and good vibration, the lyrics speak about staying active, awake and committed to a higher purpose despite negativity and oppression. “Mission Ignition” is a tribute to all those who continue to bring light, warmth and hope to the world through their actions and energy.

Musically, the release delivers an uplifting roots reggae atmosphere with a warm, conscious vibe and a strong spiritual energy. Staying true to the sound of Muflon Dub Soundsystem, the release also includes a dub version packed with spacious echoes, rich textures, and immersive effects.

Leo Tan & I-niverse (ft. Sax N Dub) - Holy Ground, Vol.1 (EP)

Dubophonic Records presents another heartfelt collaboration between Leo Tan and I-niverse, delivering a powerful collection of roots reggae and dub inspired by faith, redemption, and the everlasting love of the Creator.

Built upon warm reggae foundations and deep dub sonics, the EP carries a clear message of hope and salvation through two original vocal compositions and their accompanying dub counterparts, culminating in a beautiful saxophone interpretation by Sax N Dub.

Opening the release, "Son Of God" is a passionate declaration of praise, celebrating Jesus Christ as King of Kings, Redeemer, and Savior. Blending biblical imagery with conscious reggae spirit, Leo Tan's lyrics speak of grace, righteousness, and the ultimate triumph of truth over Babylon, while I-niverse provides a rich and uplifting musical backdrop. The companion version, "Son Of Dub", transforms the song into a deep instrumental meditation, allowing the message to resonate through echo, bass, and space.

The second vocal offering, "There Is A Place", draws inspiration from the teachings of Christ and the promise of eternal peace. Reflecting on mercy, humility, and divine love, the song points toward a holy place where believers find rest and shalom in the presence of the Father. Filled with reverence and gratitude, it stands as a moving testimony of faith and redemption. Its dub counterpart, "There Is A Dub", explores the same spiritual landscape through immersive rhythms and atmospheric effects.

Closing the EP, "There Is A Sax" features the expressive playing of Sax N Dub, whose soulful melodies bring a fresh dimension to the composition. Floating gracefully over the roots rhythm, the saxophone version provides a reflective and uplifting finale to the journey.

With its blend of conscious reggae, gospel-inspired lyrics, and heavyweight dub production, Holy Ground Vol. 1 is a release dedicated to listeners seeking both spiritual nourishment and authentic roots vibrations. A celebration of faith, praise, and the enduring power of reggae music to uplift the soul.

Slim Levy - Snippet Sounds

Super cosmic Dub fireworks album by French bass & keys wizard Slim Levy - bass player during Lee Perry’s last tour - having fun with the vintage and retro sounds of his children's synthesizers.

Inspired in equal parts by Lee Perry’s radical mixing desk treatment on “Dub Revolution” and the magic songwriting on “Pet Sounds” by the Beach Boys, this journey through little Dub nuggets played on toy keyboards, psychedelic floor shakers and expertly written curveball riddims proves highly addictive.

Beautifully messy Dubs full of their own unique Mojo, mixed live on a Fostex four-track cassette recorder, in the vein of Sheriff Lindo, Tapes or Noda & Wolfers. Not to be missed!

Don Hartley - Spiritual War

Jamaican born and raised Roots Reggae artist Don Hartley has over three decades of experience sharing his deeply spiritual music. He shot to notoriety on the UK and European Dub scene in 2001 via his association with Manchester UK’s Nucleus Roots label with songs like Run Come Quick, Deep Roots and Irie Meditation. Don has since then gone on to work with notable producers and labels like Thierry Negro (Faya Dub), Lewis Bennett (Lewis Bennet Dub), Roll & Record, Fat Bird Recordings, Rod Chaplin (MessenJah Music) and Dubophonic Records through his recent collaborations with Mikey Dub and Elastica Dub.

From Kingston, Jamaica, to the UK - from Jah Rastafari to Jesus Christ - his journey has shaped both his music and his message.

His new single Spiritual War, is released on 29th May 2026 on his own label, Don Hartley Music. This roots reggae record is a return to the spiritual and social consciousness that has always guided his songwriting.

Born from introspection and a clear-eyed look at the world, Spiritual War channels truth through rhythm and melody. The song addresses individual and shared hardships while delivering a roots-centred message of uplift and strength.

He made the record with Elston Benji, whose mastery of classic reggae production shaped the sessions' warmth and punch. Together, we aimed for a sound that respected the roots tradition while pushing my voice into bolder territory.

Spiritual War reassures anyone who feels alone in their convictions, validating the struggle and restoring the courage to stand firm.

L.S. Diezel & Launch DAT – Aliens

Digi Dub re-enter the vinyl world with a handful of archival 10” releases, the first collating tracks harvested from four releases, which originally came out in the early 90s.

The Aliens EP provides a perfect showcase of the adventurous and experimental approach that the label took at a time when breakbeat hardcore was starting to fragment. Taking none of the paths that their peers took, the artists in the Digi Dub stable infused their breakbeat science with a playful dubwise methodology to create idiosyncratic dance music operating at the interstice between modern dub mechanics and rave dynamics that was a premonition of much of the experimental bass music that the UK has become known for.

The focus track is Poor Mans Glory, a collaboration between L.S. Diezel and Launch DAT that sees a weighty sped-up funk break allied with a suitably robust dub bassline overlaid with bursts of rasta invocation rattling around in the echo chamber.

With the original 12s now rare as rocking horse shit, grab yourself a 10” and make your bass bins smile.

Isaac Chambers & Dub Princess - Let Me In

Let Me In is a sweet drop of musical sunshine, a song of love and yearning distilled in the southern hemisphere and elevated by the dulcet tones of Dub Princess.

The bones were first created by Isaac Chambers in 2015 as a rough sketch, and over the years more elements were added, including a woodwind section played by Jarrod Bremerton and a guitar solo by Prosad Freeman. It stayed as an instrumental until 2020 when Dub Princess added her stunning vocals to lock the tune into its final form.

“I love the long journey this song took to reach the finish line. Some tunes are created quickly and others need to marinate for years before all the ingredients come together” (Isaac Chambers)

On the flip, International Observer is on stellar form, weaving an accordion melody in to the original to create a taut, bass-forward dub mix.

Longtime Observer observers will recognise many of his distinctive production trademarks, originally developed in the eighties and honed further still since his debut release on Different Drummer in the early noughties set audiophiles ears aflame.

Completing the package, Deep Fried Dub delivers a special dub remix, adding another dimension to this rich and immersive release.

"What a pleasure it was to take a deep dive into dub with Isaac and Dub Princess” (Tom Bailey)

An uplifting roots reggae song that reminds us to reconnect with our roots and live in service to something greater than ourselves. It carries a message of awareness, humility, and purpose — encouraging us to remember who we are, where we come from, and to use our gifts in a way that benefits others and the world around us.

The song began from an acoustic guitar idea by Anayah Roots. Together with Costa Rebel, they developed the track step by step through Zoom, building it layer by layer in an organic and intentional way. Costa Rebel played a key role in the production, contributing to instrumentation as well as handling the mixing and mastering.
