Advice for a struggling introvert new hire
hi everyone! i just want to hear your opinion and advice to a struggling introvert new hire.
I’m almost 2 months in my current job and this is my second job na. Sa company namin, okay ang benefits and compensation. The culture is ok din naman kasi the management push us to be better and bring value sa company.
As of the moment, i don’t have much tasks. Sometimes i go on a day na wala akong naa-accomplish kasi I’m done na sa task ko. Sa company kasi namin they always emphasize bringing value and i feel pressured kasi idk if I’m bringing any given the tasks i currently have. I felt like i need to prove something to convince them I’m a good addition sa company nila. I tried asking my supervisor if may magagawa ba ako and sometimes she gives me simple task na kayang gawin in 30 mins to an hour at most. Nahihirapan ako na wala akong ginagawa sa office kasi i feel useless and I’m afraid coworkers might think I’m slacking off. I have a subordinate and mas may ginagawa pa sya kesa sa akin na a step higher ang position sa kanya.
Another concern of mine is sometimes i overthink an encounter and can’t help but think negative things like, “Baka hindi nila ako gusto.” When i answered wrong, i think baka they think I’m stupid. Also, till now hindi pa ako nao-orient ng General Manager when a newly hired recently got oriented (na-orient na ako ng ibang departments). I can’t help but feeling I don’t matter huhu
Can you give me your thoughts and advice on what can i do to overcome these?
