Distressed female? Need help
Excuse the mess in my yard.. but I need some help with my female blue Swedish. She is 1 yo, (the drake that she is bonded with is in timeout currently) and I’m in the process of trying to integrate our 10 week old ducklings with her.
For the past several weeks she quacks extremely loud at me when I come outside-usually with 10 times the intensity of what’s heard in this video. She is relentless until I provide treats or sit down. If I move slightly or stand she starts up again.
I presume she is stressed to the max based on the intense quacking and keeping her head to close to her chest. I don’t keep her apart from the drake she is bonded too long, but he’s been rough towards the ducklings. I keep food, treats, and water accessible. She’s only locked in her run/house at night. I don’t know how to help her or how to make things less stressful for her.
