Trek 8000 2nd life
Took my Dads old Mtb out of the basement and gave it a new life. He thinks it is a 1989 or 1988 because he bought it used in 1991. Originally the bike had handlebar suspension that made it extremely awkward to ride but with a stem conversion and some riser bars the geo has been greatly improved. This bike is sweet, the slick tires are smooth and quiet. I’ve definitely maxed out the rack on a few occasions and it handled it with no problems. I live in a small town and use it for work, errands, and local climbing.
