Just went to the vet. Since my dove showed no serious signs they told me to keep an eye on her and sent us home. I’m not sure why nothing happened to her after eating the laxative, even after 2 days, maybe she didn’t actually eat it? Hopefully i did make a mistake and she won’t suddenly be ill tomorrow😭
I want to take my dove to the vet but vehicles aren’t an option and taxis don’t support doves. The hospital is 3.6km away(around 40 mins), so if i walk there will she be affected? I’m planning to take her in a cat carrier.
She ate a tablet of beauluck 14 hours ago and is showing no signs of illness right now. I couldn’t get her to a vet right away because it was night and my mom didn’t allow me. Mom says she’ll be unharmed but i’m really worried. What do i do???
Edit: Tysm guys. I’m going to take her to the vet soon when mom comes home(i’m a minor so i can’t go on my own). Sorry for leaving out this info i know taking her to the vet is the obvious thing to do but i can’t because mom is away. I’ll update if there’s anything.
Update: mom told me to go to vet tomorrow. Yeah my family kinda sucks. Still no concerning signs, stools normal. I’m starting to wonder if she actually ate the pill? Well lesson learned, i’ll make sure to put dangerous things out of her way now. I’ll still go to the vet tomorrow to be safe
