Hello all, my Great Pyrenees barks all frigging night long and my husband and I don’t know what to do and are frustrated. We’ve even received anonymous notes from the neighbors. We live in the mountains and he thinks he’s doing his job warding off predators. If he hears the dogs across the canyon he will bark for like an hour straight at them. He will calm down then hear a plane and bark for another hour straight. We’ve tried everything short of medicating him. We don’t want to resort to that as this breed is supposed to be nocturnal. We rescued him from a kill shelter. Any ideas? He’s been keeping us up at night for months. We’re tired!
