Do you think that a reason why there are more deadbeat dads than deadbeat moms is because women can get abortions?
I ask this because I’ve been thinking lately. If a woman knows that she has no interest in taking care of a child, in most places, she can get an abortion. If a man doesn’t want to care of a child, but the woman does, it’ll still be born so all he can do at that point is leave and because the child is alive, he’s considered a deadbeat. So I say yes. About 20% of Gen Alpha was aborted, and only about 15% of those abortions were for medical reasons so I think there’s reason to believe that the other 85% would’ve been deadbeat moms but the baby was never born.
Edit: I should clarify the 20% number is from the US. It’s also right around the number of Gen Alpha kids who don’t have present fathers in the US, which is another thing that made me think about this.
