Texas Women in Government?

Hi everyone,
I am hoping for some expert advice for an upcoming project I have for my Texas government course. I am NOT asking anyone to do my work for me, but guide me in a good path.

Our assignment is to select 3 primary sources, from the syllabus: “The three primary sources  should include the documents that pertain to people, places or events that have had an impact on Texas government.”
It’s a PowerPoint presentation in which I have to have the primary source & answer 6 questions about them.

I would like to focus in on women’s role in Texas government in history, from suffrage to leadership.

The primary sources I currently have are:
1- Texas Women’s Suffrage Association letter to congress
2- Miriam Ferguson inaugural address (first female governor in Texas)
3- I am struggling with the 3rd source here. I thought Ann Richards may be a good focal point as the second (and largely more successful) female governor of Texas. I didn’t want to do another inaugural address, because I felt that may be a bit repetitive given that I’m already using one for Miriam Ferguson.

Could anyone help me with ideas or steer me on a good path? I thought about maybe a video linked into the PowerPoint of an interview or a speech, but it just doesn’t feel “right” if that makes sense?

Should I steer away from Ann Richards and focus in on something else? Any ideas on what may be good to use for Ann Richards if you think that’s a good next step for the project?
