Hearing issues (left side)

Hi,
I will try to lay out everything in order of how it has happened. Roughly 6 days ago I noticed a building pressure/fullness like feeling in my left ear but never thought much of it. Felt as if I needed to pop my ear however I just couldn’t no matter how much I tried and over the past few days the pressure and my hearing has gotten worse and worse to the point where I am struggling to have a conversation with someone sitting to my left causing me too look over there shoulder to be able to hear clearer. Also now when the room is quiet I can hear a Constant Buzz in my head and what I can describe as a ringing in left ear. I then went to a GP out of hours as I couldn’t attend a GP during the day they then checked my ears and found no blockage in my left ear and said other than a slightly dull ear drum it looks normal. I have then been referred for an “urgent hearing test” howver have been noticed there is no appointments available just how serious an issue is this and does it need to be checked soon? There has been no pain, discharge or other symptoms.
