Finally fixed the broken default 747-8i in MSFS 2024 (Fuel flow, realistic weights, and no more wing rocking)
Got tired of waiting for a proper fix for the default MSFS 2024 Boeing 747-8i, so I went into the config files and overhauled the performance using real-world Boeing data.
What this mod actually fixes:
- Real Fuel Burn: Scaled back the fuel flow by ~50% so you can finally do proper long-haul flights up to 14,000 km without running out of juice over the Atlantic.
- Correct Boeing Weights: Unlocked the Zero Fuel Weight restriction and set the proper MTOW (987,000 lbs). Adjusted the empty CG to stop the plane from violent nose-diving during manual flight.
- Stabilized Autopilot: Tweaked the roll stability and yaw damper to completely eliminate the infamous autopilot "wing rocking" and overshooting waypoints.
- Engine Punch: Boosted the GEnx engines by 8% to match real takeoff performance when fully loaded, and improved turbine spool-up times for better throttle response on final.
It’s a simple drag-and-drop mod for your Community folder.
