Greetings. I am aware that in order to remove a vapor duct, one needs to hold the lock button and simultaneously turn the combi clip and pull the duct out.

However, I have some very old spare parts, and the duct is completely stuck in crusty residue. Any advice on how to loosen this?

I have attempted hexanes and DCM to try dissolve the residue but to no avail.
