Reoccurring BV (and YI) for the last year… Please help.
Hi everyone. So I’ve been dealing with BV and sometimes YI for the last year. I believe it all started with a doctor prescribing me amoxicillin, metronidazole, and diflucan all at once. She hadn’t gotten results from a lab and started me on two of the meds and then when they came back she realized which ACTUAL meds I should’ve been on. The issue got fixed but then two months later I began to experience symptoms again. It has gone from YI to BV over and over again. I have done at home monistat 1 treatments, apple cider vinegar baths, SEVERAL metronidazole treatments, MANY diflucans, Cleocin (which made me bleed), a women’s probiotic for a month, and even cut sugar for long periods. Then I got a partner and it took me a while to open up to him about what was going on down there since it would happen every two weeks. During my last visit with him, the metronidazole seemed to work and I even began taking a new brand of probiotics but this morning I woke up with discomfort down there and unusual discharge. I’ve gone to 3 gynecologists and everyone just seems to put you on antibiotics and call it a day. I’m tired of being stuffed with pills, I just want to be able to live again. This all makes me so very depressed.
