Claude Code /usage shows $5.88 cost, but I'm on Max 5x plan with no API key. Is this actual billing or just an estimate?

Had a 3hr Claude Code session today. /usage shows $5.88 (mostly Opus). But:

• No API key configured
• claude.ai usage shows 0% weekly limits used
• Extra usage is OFF

Is /usage just showing what tokens would have cost on the API, even on a subscription plan? Or am I actually being charged?
