I counted 9 cashews in this derpy crow teen's mouth. How many can you count? 🐦‍⬛😂🥜

It's been about a month since my last post, but my derpy crow teen is back at it!

This little guy decided to stuff 9 cashews into its mouth before flying off like it just robbed a grocery store. 😂

I'm starting to think I'm not feeding a crow anymore, but an ambitious little hoarder preparing for winter!

🐦‍⬛ From Derpy Juvenile to Distinguished Crow: Look Who’s Growing Up

It’s been about two weeks since my neighborhood crowbros were last spotted attacking my unsalted peanut/cashew bowl, and although one is more subordinate to the other, his plumage is really developing a beautiful sheen. And like a crow parent with a nutritious offering, I can’t help but feel proud!!! 🥹

My juvenile crowbros are so cute and derpy (compared to their older flockmates)! Is it just me, or are they cute and derpy to you as well? 🥹

A recent video of my crowbros snacking on my (unsalted) cashew bowl. The juveniles, clearly subordinate to the older crows, quickly snatch a cashew and scurry away into the background.

In a more recent development, one of them realized that when the other crows aren’t around, he can gobble up more than one at a time!

Two crows came over for a light breakfast this morning 🐦‍⬛🥜🐦‍⬛

One appeared to be an adult, while the other looked like a young juvenile. The little guy was noticeably more timid and a bit derpy compared to his confident companion.

Can you spot the difference?

I threw a few unshelled peanuts outside my car and accidentally summoned a murder.

I was just trying to feed a few crows. Then a few more swooped in, along with a couple of squirrels.

I did not realize I had just opened a small wildlife buffet...

My local crow juveniles recently figured out where the free peanuts are... 🐦‍⬛🥜🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

I'm so happy this year's neighborhood fledglings and juveniles finally discovered my peanut bowl! I think my crow decoys may have helped, and now they stop by almost every day for roasted peanuts and cashews (unsalted of course)!...🔊🎵🎼

I always have loose unshelled peanuts in my pocket for this purpose... can anyone else relate?

A group of crows were picking at some garbage at a local supermarket parking lot and I decided to share some roasted, unshelled (unsalted of course) peanuts I had on me...
