A teenager girl and fallen demon king
This was a book I read back in 1987. Some of the details really stuck with me, but I can’t remember the name of the book at all. It was about a teenage girl who encounters a demon. He no longer has his powers. I don’t really remember the middle, but I think there’s a bit of a hinted love story. The climax is a huge battle resulting in the demon king getting his powers back and saving her, but they can’t be together. There’s a described scene in the final battle that really really stuck with me… one of the demons they are fighting swings an axe or sword at the main character and it describes it as pretty much cutting her to the bone. The cover had the demon king on it. I realize this is NOT a lot to go on, but I’m hoping you all can help me finally scratch this mental itch that’s been bothering me for decades.
