COCO Slander
So many posts here are Frigate missing the most obvious objects imaginable, followed by a bunch of gaslighting comments about "COCO dataset model isn't trained on your camera, you should train your own model to detect these". Here's base YOLOV9 running in a phone browser detecting one example from:
https://www.reddit.com/r/frigate_nvr/comments/1ta7ydu/person_not_detected_possibly_result_of_reflective/ .
A lot of people who don't know any better believe these comments and think that detecting somebody one metre away from a CCTV camera requires paying and sending a guy a bunch of footage to train a model. Idk if this is because of dishonesty or incompetence, but it’s annoying to see.
