Urgent Gwinnett Shelter Dogs with Friday Deadlines! Need Placement or may be euthanized!

Urgent Gwinnett Shelter Dogs with Friday Deadlines! Need Placement or may be euthanized!

DEADLINES ARE HOURS AWAY — 3 DOGS NEED OUT NOW

Pedro, Roger & Dodger are running out of time at the Gwinnett Animal Shelter in Lawrenceville, GA. These boys desperately need committed adopters, fosters, or rescue placement before their deadlines on Friday, May 15. Please read their needs carefully and step up RESPONSIBLY.

These dogs are not “save for the moment” dogs. They are living beings who deserve stability, patience, and commitment — not to be dumped because of an impulse decision. Please do NOT impulsively foster or adopt unless you are truly willing to help them succeed. They are not disposable.

Pedro (AID#115834)
Deadline: Fri May 15 at 3PM
Pedro is a 4-year-old, 64.5 lb lab mix who is friendly, playful, people-social, and FULL of energy. Shelter stress has caused frustration and barrier reactivity around other dogs, and he struggles with dog-to-dog interactions. He may do best as an only dog or with extremely slow, carefully managed introductions to the right fit.
Loves people
Easy to handle
Needs structure, exercise & enrichment
Best suited for an experienced, committed home

Roger (AID#116589) & Dodger (AID#116590)
Deadline: Fri May 15 at 2PM
These bonded boys were found together and are absolutely terrified in the shelter environment. They shut down when separated and rely on each other for comfort. Both are very shy, unsocialized, and overwhelmed, but they allow gentle handling and desperately need a calm place to decompress.
Bonded pair
Need patience & trust-building
Need a quiet, stable environment
Dodger is HW+ and the shelter is willing to provide treatment assistance

These dogs need people willing to commit to the process — decompression, structure, patience, training, and consistency.

🚨 BIG ASK FROM OUR COMMUNITY – FOSTERS NEEDED ASAP 🚨

Tomorrow evening, we will be welcoming THREE Standard Poodles into our rescue due to unforeseen circumstances—and we need your help.

Meet:
🐾 Lana & Vanessa Females, Spayed – littermates, 8 years 7 months old
🐾 Theo Male – 7 years 3 months old

These three have spent their entire lives loved, well cared for, and spoiled. Like so many families right now, their previous owner has been impacted by the current economic challenges, and making this decision was not easy.

At Mavroudis Poodle Rescue, we believe that sometimes the hardest choice is also the most selfless one—ensuring these beloved dogs can continue to live safe, happy, and cherished lives. Our promise is to find them the very best forever homes, and we always share their happy endings so their former family can see them thriving again ❤️

💛 What we need RIGHT NOW:
We are urgently looking for 1–2 foster homes

✨ Ideal placement:
• Lana & Vanessa together (they have never been apart)
• Theo can be placed separately or with them

If you have ever considered fostering, this is the moment we truly need you. Opening your home saves lives—and makes rescues like this possible.

👉 Interested in fostering or adopting 1, 2, or all 3?

✨ Meet Wyll ✨

Wyll’s story almost ended too soon. He was rescued from Fulton Animal Shelter, where he faced euthanasia simply because there wasn’t enough space. On top of that, Wyll was found with a chemical burn on his back. We’ll never know if someone intentionally hurt him, but what we do know is that he’s a survivor. His wound has healed, leaving only a scar as a reminder of how far he’s come.

Now, this handsome 2-year-old mixed breed (about 52 lbs) is safe and ready for the forever home he deserves.

Wyll is the full package:

🐾 Smart & Trained – housebroken, crate trained, and knows commands like sit and paw.

🐾 Dog-Friendly – does well with proper introductions, but would also thrive as your one-and-only.

🐾 Adventure Buddy – he LOVES car rides and will happily hop right in for the next outing.

Because Wyll has a higher energy level, he’s looking for a dog-experienced home with a yard to run and play, and an active family who will include him in their adventures. He’d also benefit from continued training to keep his big brain busy.

Wyll is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccinations.
