Sinking house

Hi all, hopefully this question is more interesting than most...

If I were to buy a house in a flood risk area, and down the line the government decided it's no longer worth protecting, what are the implications? Would insurance pay out? How much, previous market value?

There are (soon to be) 32 teams left

Is the party over? Or has it realistically not even started yet?

Outside of Italy, has any 'major' nation missed out?

"Reaching the knockouts"

This isn't an anti Scotland post but they're going to catch strays.

Does it annoy anyone else all the talk of a team "reaching the knockouts" when that's the last 32? It's the equivalent of losing in the group stage in previous years?

It's no different to adding another round to the FA Cup and suddenly saying "team x has never reached the 3rd round before" when the new 4th round is the equivalent.

Reaching the last 16 is the equivalent of reaching previous knockouts.
