Yinhe Moon 12 Blue Review

Yinhe Moon 12 Blue Review

Tested in a Viscaria ALC as a backhand rubber. This rubber comes in blue color only and 3 different hardness: M- , M+ and H. (mine is medium soft***.***

First Impressions:

This rubber is darn slow even in a fast blade like Viscaria. But for me, i like the rubber because of how consistent it is and how spinny your shots will be when proper stroke is applied. And even tho it's very soft (i believe in 42°), it doesn't feel mushy or bouncy so for me, blocking incoming spin is good.

Drive:

Very easy to do with this rubber because i feel confident doing backhand drive and not worry about overshooting the ball.

Loops:

For me this is where the rubber shines. It is easy to loop long backspin serves and the ball will have crazy topspin so it is not easy to block for the opponent.

Flicks:

The same with loop, it is also very easy to flick a serve. And same with the loop aswell, the ball will have decent amount of spin to disturb the timing of my opponent.

Serves:

I usually do a chop or a side chop serve on my backhand and for me the rubber does a great job on doing those serves, a lot of time my opponents are having a hard time recieving my serves.

This rubber is recommendable for beginners to intermediate where they face players that struggles with spinny shots. This rubber won't help you get speed on every shot you make but for me the spin compensate the slow ball (not super slow but reasonably slow). I liked it better than my dignics 05 because it felt like the ball stays longer to the rubber (dwell time) than the dignics 05 and i also liked it better than acuda s2 because the acuda s2 is super spin sensitive because of it being super bouncy. If you want a cheap and a go to simple rubber, this is it.

Rubber Suggestion

Ive been using the Viscaria ALC for half a year now and tested a lot of rubbers but i cannot find something to satisfy my forehand. I want something hard but not so hard. I also want it to be grippy, because i do not like chinese rubbers. 47.5 - 52.5 in hardness is ok. im considering on trying the Stiga DNA Pro H and the Jekyll and Hyde C52 but for now i cannot find something. Im currently using Xiom Omega V Tour.

seriously i mean i get it why fan zhendong didn't accept the invitation of playing the team championship except the reason he said it's personal. but bruh honestly i think he didn't want to play with an npc like lin shidong. he's been so inconsistent losing to non chinese players. his dominance was short, in a blink of an eye he was out of top 3. like what's happening?? will they even proceed in knockout stage? will they win in the group stages? i certainly don't know

still, what a break through. congrats to the competitive players

These rubbers are the newly released rubbers made for Hugo Calderano and is said to be mimicking the feel or characteristics of the J&H that Hugo used in Xiom. Joola Trinity Charged is listed in 52.5 degrees of hardness while Joola Trinity Dynamic is 57.5 degrees. Anyone know where and for how much they are selling this for? Mainly in Asia because i live in the Philippines and there is no stock of it yet. Ibrahima Diaw has posted a video trying the rubber and it is the only video or review i could find online.

*LONG POST AHEAD*

So just 3 weeks ago i bought this Xiom Vega Pro H rubber for testing and also compare it with Glayzer 09c as some people say that it is quite similar with the said rubber. I don't always do reviews but ill try giving a decent review for all who wants to try for themselves.

I was hesitating at first because there isn't a lot of review about this rubber and if there is, majority are not so good reviews. But today ill show you the goods and bads with this rubber.

Setup

Blade: Butterfly Viscaria ALC

Forehand: Xiom Vega Pro Hybrid Max Thickness

Backhand: Donic Acuda S2 Max Thickness

Weight

This rubber is pretty heavy but if you don't mind it or you play comfortably with it, it's no problem. 73g uncut weight

Spin

This rubber generate more spin than the original Vega Pro because of it's hybrid characteristics, dwell time is good also there's a grip to it and it helps for spin generation.

Speed

This rubber is a slow one, little slower than Glayzer 09c so best suited to play with fast blades like Viscaria to balance the speed of your hits.

Serves

I notice that i don't do a lot of spin when serving compared to the donic acuda but acuda is a spinny rubber, but i don't generate a lot when serving using the Vega Pro H.

Block

Blocks are awesome with this rubber, this rubber is not so spin sensitive to incoming spin so blocking heavy topsins are easy.

Additionally, it also chops well and i am in shock that i can chop using rubber and Viscaria at the same time.

This rubber is listed as Hybrid rubber, with 47.5 ESN degrees in hardness with a grippy topsheet and a sponge that is dwelly if that's what you're looking for in a rubber. While Glayzer 09c is ofcourse greater than Vega Pro H, if you're in a budget and is not rubber picky kind of guy, this is for you.
