Causes for High ALT and AST in blood test?
I'm 25F and my blood test came back showing my ALT is 216 IU/L and my AST is 124 IU/L. I don't ever drink, I'm in a healthy weight, and I don't have preexisting conditions. However, i am pre-diabetic with my A1c being a 5.7. What could be causing my high ALT and AST? A year ago, it was at a 20. Could there be an error with the blood test?
