Not whining, but a bit over 3 weeks from brachy implant surgery- first 2 weeks the usual urinary irritation stuff that is getting better each day (as you and Docs all said) but this past week feeling a lot more tired than I did the first two.
Sleeping fine, just kind of wiped out.
Normal? Transitory? Or a concern?
Really hate to bitch, but …
Exactly 2 weeks post brachy, Gleason 4 + 3, PSA 8.6. Brachy only, no hormones. U Chicago, world-class Docs.
No urinary issues prior, was given Tamsulosin .4 mg one week prior, dry ejaculation almost immediately.
Complaint is last few days I have started having insanity-inducing periods of urgency, often immediately post urination.
No rhyme or reason, period the first 3 hours after taking tam and late at night (right now!) worst!
Wife says the radiation is just really cooking at this point, that this will pass, be patient, I am still recovering.
Your thoughts? Could Flomax be exacerbating or is it helping? Will this pass?
No pain, no flow restriction, this is an irritation that fools me into thinking I have to piss.
Driving me mad , am I a baby will this pass?

Eight days post brachy for Gleason 7 (4+3), 67 years old PSA was 8.6.
Tolerated procedure well, just finished post op antibiotics but are experiencing a burning not unlike a UTI, locus is at tip of penis. Just started 3 days ago, I have NOT contacted Doc yet.
I have a feeling I was told this could happen but ignored it.
I had no urinary issues up to surgery. I am not on hormones.
I’m almost ashamed to complain, considering what could be if it had not been caught!
Any thoughts?
