Girlfriend and I are heading up to Banff next month. She was looking into picking up some puzzle mats for our tent floor but I’m worried that they’re just going to constantly unlock on us. Curious if my concerns are valid or if it’s a non issue when camping in a campsite.

Also was reading a five year old post about the off gassing smell on this subreddit and was wondering how big of a deal that is and how long it lasts? Our sleeping pad will be directly on the mat.

Alternatively does anyone have a different solution for a padded floor mat? Ideally we want something that will pack well, add some extra comfort and keep the tent a little tidier.
