Help mom & child with housing
I haven’t used Reddit before I am just trying to get my link out for help. In December my child ended up with rsv and the flu around Christmas and did not get better until January. I lost my job because I don’t have support, I had to stay with my baby. Around the 20th of January I got a 5 day notice which I could not pay, I tried calling every assistance line but nobody could help and by the middle of February I was evicted ( I don’t owe payments because I had jetty deposit which paid the payment I couldn’t once I was evicted). I have been sleeping in my car, I applied to over 100 jobs and my email is filled with nothing but rejections or the ones who do call back they say hey the shift we put is not actually the shift we need & basically cancel the interview I have with them because I don’t have open availability. I have been using my car to do package deliveries but the money I make goes strictly to gas, my gas goes fast because we have spent many times in freezing weather so I keep the car on so overnight we don’t be cold on top of having to do lots of miles to make $40-$60 doing the deliveries and taking her to daycare when I can. I also have to buy fast food because I can’t cook and when I get my link, I usually spend it within 2-3 weeks at the ”ready to eat” sections at grocery stores which is pricey and have to go back to using the cash I make. then every single bill I have I’m trying to keep up with, its hard when everything is past due and I already don’t have nothing, I catch up and by the time the next payment comes im back stuggling to pay it. my car note is like $1000 in & 70 days past due and I just was able to make a small payment to stop the from taking it but now I only have a few days, my storage unit payment is upcoming, I have been in my car for months, I have applied to many assistance places and have yet to get help, I am currently trying again to get into a shelter but I am honestly stuck. I just want to be in a home again and have a job, I want to shower, and just be stable again and this is one of the worst situations I have ever been in. I recently gave up the last week and just sat doing nothing but I started applying to jobs again, I don’t even know what companies to apply for when I did most but I recently got a job offer for being a bus driver and I am enrolled in online school still but it would still take me weeks before I even get a payment and I also have to do training so im trying to be hopeful.
