Confused about onboarding process and rapidly decreasing team size

Got accepted into a project recently and signed all the required documents, including an NDA, so I can’t really share details. After onboarding, I was given access to Slack and another platform where the task is to take place, and I expected the next step would be a qualification quiz or some kind of task.

But it’s been nearly a week now and there’s still nothing available on my dashboard, no quiz, no tasks, no updates. At the same time, I’ve noticed the number of people in the project dropping heavily. It went from over 4,000 members to around 2,200, and it still keeps decreasing daily.

So now I’m honestly confused about what’s going on. I’m still waiting for the quiz and hoping I’ll eventually get the chance to qualify and start working, but seeing so many people disappear from the project is making me wonder if offboarding is happening quietly in the background.

Has anyone experienced something similar with projects like this before?

Turing assessment link keeps redirecting me after applying — but now I’m shortlisted?

A few days ago, I received an email from Turing saying I was a good fit for a role and should submit my interest. I completed the form and applied successfully.

A few hours later, I got another email with a link to start an assessment. But whenever I click the link, it just redirects me to my Turing dashboard and says:

“You have already applied for this job. You can check your application status in the jobs list.”

This has actually happened to me before on different Turing applications. Instead of opening the assessment, it just takes me back to the dashboard.

What’s confusing me now is that I checked today and saw that my application status has already changed to “Shortlisted.”

So now I’m not sure what’s actually going on. Does shortlisted mean they skipped the assessment for now? Will I still receive another test/interview invitation later? Or is the assessment already linked to my application somehow?

Has anyone experienced something similar before?

Need Help Logging Into My Mercor.expert Email on Phone

I’m having difficulty logging into my Mercor.expert email on my phone. I want to fully connect it to my device so I can receive emails instantly and manage everything more easily.

I tried adding it manually, but I’m confused about the correct settings (IMAP/POP3, server info, etc.). The email is managed through Mercor.

Has anyone successfully connected their Mercor.expert email to Gmail or another mail app on Android/iPhone? Any help would be appreciated.

Will Background Check Delay affect me?

Got a Mercor Generalist Expert offer and completed all onboarding steps, but my Zinc background check is delayed because the local authority in Nigeria won’t release results until May 20. (It's day 5 now)

Mercor dashboard still says “in review” and “background check in progress.” Has anyone experienced something similar? Did the delay affect your offer or onboarding?

Most of the jobs (even generalists) I’m seeing have location requirements like the US, UK, or other Western/European countries.

I’m currently based in Nigeria, is it still worth applying to these roles, or are the location requirements strict?

Would appreciate insights from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.

I noticed that the sorting options now show “Priority, Newest, Trending, and Most Pay,” but I remember there used to be a fifth option called “Best Match.” Has this been removed or renamed, or is it just not showing for me?
