What would you feed your cat if their prescription diet is out of stock everywhere due to supply chain issues? I’m holding out hope I can place an order before he’s completely out but I am needing to figure out a backup plan. He has diabetes and IBD and kidney disease so he’s been on hill’s multiorgan for the past 6 months and doing well on it.
Has anyone gone on a vacation/roadtrip with their diabetic cat? The TL;DR is I haven’t been on a vacation in two years, largely because my senior boy has so many health issues, which now include diabetes as of this past November. He has a more challenging case because he also takes steroids for his IBD, so non-negotiable I have to check his glucose before every shot. I just do not trust a sitter with this task. My boy does well on car rides and I started to wonder if I could imagine a world where I go on a roadtrip and bring him along… I think finding an accommodating airbnb shouldn’t be too challenging, but if I’m taking a roadtrip and need to find hotels on the fly along the way, that might be more difficult. Would love any tips, tricks or experiences!
