I rebuilt my architecture portfolio as a website (no code)

After almost 2 years working at an architecture studio, I ended up with a bunch of projects that I felt deserved a better way to be shown

My old portfolio was just a pdf made in indesign
It worked at the time, but it became annoying:
heavy files, sending drive links, not very practical

Recently I discovered ClaudeCode with Visual Studio Code and decided to challenge myself to build a web portfolio from scratch

Before, the main barrier was coding
Even with no-code tools like Squarespace or WordPress with Elementor, I never felt fully satisfied with the results

Now it feels like that barrier is pretty much gone

You don’t really need to know how to code anymore
It’s more about having good taste and knowing how to guide the tool to get what you want

One of the things I liked the most is how much I could customize everything:
both in design and functionality

For example, I added image zoom similar to archdaily, and played a bit with a “liquid glass” style header inspired by apple

I also added a small feature where every time you go back to the home page, the layout changes completely, kind of random, but always trying to keep a good composition

There’s also a timeline section, and a few other small things that I added mostly out of curiosity, just to see if they were possible, or because I liked how they looked

Small details, but they helped shape something that actually feels like mine

After a couple of weeks, I finally finished it
It’s not perfect, but it feels way more “mine” than any pdf I’ve done

Also, it’s just way easier to share
One link and that’s it

And it made things much easier for my network to actually see my work

If anyone’s curious, here it is:
