The best compliment I've ever gotten as a DM.

So I was speaking to one of my players the other day while organising they're character sheet & explaining a bit about the campaign and what to expect from it alongside the starting village etc etc.

I mentioned that I was coming up with extra things to make it more fun for my players such as Tavern Games & Strange Tavern Foods, because I know players often love to go to a Tavern so I really wanted to give them fun experiences at the taverns by giving them something to look forward to.

My player then responded saying "You are probably one of the best DMs but new players would never realise it because they don't know what a bad DM is" And I genuinely just felt so touched that someone would say that to me.

Really made all my effort worthwhile.
