Can you help me find the statute? (If it exists)
Hello! I’m not asking for advice, just hoping someone can guide me to the location I can find some answers on my own in the Rhode Island code book.
Long story short, a vending machine has been abandoned in my place of work for over 5 years. My work is a secure facility that required the old individual to be escorted through the property to make the scheduled re-supplies. After the individual didn’t show up multiple times in a row, the facility reached out to the local mom/pop company. They learned the individual who owned the company had been arrested on state charges and wouldn’t be servicing the facility any time soon. Years have gone by and the telephone numbers listed on the machine as contacts have all been disconnected.
I’m attempting to determine when the machine becomes officially “abandoned” which will allow us to remove/ sell it.
All of the statues I can find seem to be describing more issues regarding property rights of vehicles/ land and homes. Does anyone knows where I can locate the sections of code that would more accurately deal with the above situation?
